I am honored to be joining the Crestline Bulldog team this year! I graduated from Bowling Green State University a little early (December rather than May) so I was fortunate to begin my teaching career as a long-term substitute for Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio. When summer came, I obtained a position at Lucas Local Schools where I taught Honors English 9, English 9, Honors English 11, English 11, and Journalism. I also advised several activities. After three years at Lucas, I furthered my experience teaching various English electives including Writing Workshop II, Appreciation of Literature, Mythology, Yearbook, and Interpersonal Communication at Ashland High School. Finally, I joined the Ashland Middle School staff. There, I taught English 8 and piloted the Rewards Program. I was also the coach of Power of the Pen and Academic Challenge. Early in my career, I knew I enjoyed leading others, and I earned my Master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Bowling Green State University. I served as local, regional, and state president of Business and Professional Women of Ohio, and have led many service activities. Outside of education, I can often be found outdoors. I enjoy venturing to festivals throughout the state and braving the rides at Cedar Point/Six Flags. Moreover, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church, and volunteering.
