Our school spelling bee may have looked different this year, but that didn’t stop 12 dedicated students in grades 4-8 from studying word lists and registering for the online school bee through the Scripps National Spelling Bee website.

Congratulations to the following participants that will be advancing to the combined Crawford & Morrow County Spelling Bee in January: Danielle Clark, Jaelyn Tesso, and Madison Carroll. Zoey Lawhorn will attend the bee as an alternate.

An extra special congratulations to David Wymer on earning the title as the School Champion after correctly spelling 32 of 35 words correctly! In addition to participation in the Crawford & Morrow County Spelling Bee, David will have the opportunity to participate in more online testing, which may qualify him for further Scripps sponsored spelling competitions.
